St Columba Anglican School is proud to present ‘'The School for Scandal'

St Columba Anglican School presents The School for Scandal.

Performing Arts Festival 2017 - Drama Showcase.

Sir Peter Teazle, a middle aged, wealthy bachelor, has recently married a pretty maid from the country. Suddenly thrust into London's high society, the young and frivolous Lady Teazle finds herself a willing member of a vicious, scandal-mongering cabal that spends it's time maligning friend, foe and family alike led by the cunning Lady Sneerwell, who has her own agenda.

The energetic Surface Brothers are thrown into the mix dodging debt collectors whilst seeking moneylenders to rescue them from their endeavours, all the while being duped by their own Uncle, Sir Oliver Surface. A fast paced hilarious romp transplanted from the 18th century into the roaring twenties.

Truth, Love and Virtue triumph.

The School for Scandal by Richard Brinsley Sheridan adapted for Contemporary Audiences by Lewis John Carlino. By arrangement with Hal Leonard Australia Pty Ltd, on behalf of Dramatists Play Service, Inc New York.
