What is Choralfest?
Choralfest 2010 is a four-day event, July 7 – 10. The conference’s purposes are to promote artistic excellence, cooperation, and exchange by bringing together the finest choirs and choral leaders for seminars, reading sessions, and performances; to facilitate the dissemination of choral repertoire, research, recordings, and other related material and information; and to enhance the existing choral life in Australia.
There are 3 main choices for Choralfest 2010. All registration and application forms are available online at www.choralfest.org.au
Conference Delegate – full access to all key note presentations, choice of up to 14 workshops, interest sessions, open rehearsals per day, all concerts and morning/afternoon teas and lunch is included.
For those choral musicians who want both professional development as well as the opportunity to sing in a choir. The “Delegates choir” will rehearse once a day with Bruce Rogers.
Big Sing Participant – Experience the thrill of being in a massed choir with a world renowned conductor.
Big Sing participants also have the opportunity to attend all key note presentations, all concerts and at least one conference interest session per day. For anybody who just wants to sing.
National Secondary Honour Choir – this will be an experience no secondary student who loves singing should miss.
Conducted by Jing Ling Tam this choir will be of the highest quality. Auditions are open to all secondary students in years 10 – 12.
