GRAND COUTURE: COSTUMES OF DAME JOAN SUTHERLAND 

Grand Couture presents selection of opera costumes from the Opera Australia Collection that were designed and worn by the first lady of Australian Opera Dame Joan Sutherland.

The exhibition explores  the recent history of opera in Australia by tracing the career of Dame Joan Sutherland, from her humble beginnings as a secretary singing at music clubs in Sydney to performing the most applauded operas of all times in Covent Garden, La Scala and Metropolitan Opera in New York.
