The Glasshouse Regional Gallery 2018 Artist in Resident Todd Fuller has created an online education resource for teachers and students.

Based around the work To see the ocean for the first time, an animation drawn by hand, locally focused on the story of Harry, from Harry’s Lookout.

Todd has created two education kits for both Primary and Secondary students.  Aligning with your current syllabus these kits focus on art making and art theory, making it a fun interactive way to learn.
The Gallery would love to hear your feedback about these education kits and how you might incorporate this within your classroom or simply share your creations with us via our socials.

Although we are still working through our COVID processes for workshops and tours the Gallery are happy to assist and answer any questions on how you and your students can be part of our Education @ the Gallery programs and services.

To see the ocean for the first time was born – the  feature animation work in the From Somewhere exhibition. A narration through line and tone, a series of drawing and paintings, Fuller breathes life into the many tales and stories told about the local (now passed) larrikin, who much like Fuller found solace in the beautiful ocean air of Port Macquarie.

Todd Fuller: Fuller has exhibited across Australia and internationally including the United States, Italy, France, South Korea, Bangladesh, England, Singapore and Malta. He has undertaken international residency at the Cite International Des Art in Paris, and at the British School in Rome. He has also been invited to participate in a number of domestic residencies including Bundanon, Grafton Hill and Blacktown. Fuller was awarded an honorable mention at the 15th Asian Art Biennale and in 2012 was appointed the Art Fellow at Sydney Grammar School. Most recently Fuller won the 2018 JADA Drawing Prize.
