About the Artists

Gabriella Domin

Gabriella Domin is an artist, designer, and art teacher based in Port Macquarie, Australia

Gabriella grew up on the Mid North Coast of NSW before moving to Sydney to study, where she completed a Bachelor of Fine Art at the National Art School, a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary Visual Arts) at UTS and a Diploma of Surface Design at ISCD. After 16 years in Sydney, Gabriella moved back up the coast to Port Macquarie with her family, where she now teaches creative workshops and works as a high school teacher.

Her practice spans across various mediums including painting, collage, printmaking and surface pattern design, and is greatly influenced by the colours, shapes and patterns of the local landscape and its unique native flora.

I am constantly inspired by the coastal landscape while exploring this beautiful area with my husband and two young children. Swimming, surfing and walking along the beaches here provides so much daily enjoyment as well as subject matter for my art."
