Glasshouse Port Macquarie works closely with world-renowned theatre producers and major arts companies to identify and present a carefully considered annual program of special productions and events.

Our Glasshouse SELECT Theatre Program represents shows of extraordinary calibre, high production values and exceptional artistic merit. The aim is to ensure our community has access to the same experiences readily available to our metropolitan counterparts.

Glasshouse SELECT 2024 Theatre Program

2024 SELECT is widely diverse in style, narrative and structure; from the captivating, heart wrenching, and witty adaption of Shannon Molloy’s memoir Fourteen, lovingly brought to life by the esteemed shake & stir theatre co., to the riveting The Visitors by Sydney Theatre Company and Moogahlin Performing Arts, alongside the joyful ‘banging’ musical All Fired Up, featuring a live band and guaranteed to deliver 80’s nostalgia in spades!

Classical Music lovers are well catered for with Julian Gargiulo Direct from Carnegie Hall (a Sunday Matinee!), and in what can only be described a ‘classical music trifecta’, we have Australia’s pre-eminent orchestral groups, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia and The Australian Haydn Ensemble!

Families and kids will enjoy heart-warming productions such as Dog Man The Musical, GRUG and The One Who Planted Trees. Guaranteed to be the perfect source of school holiday fun, The Fruities are back once again, bringing magic, juggling and striking aerial acts in TEMPO.
